Hey there!

Soooo, finally I got 5k pageviews! :)
Of course I'm looking forward to the future and I can't wait to achieve the 6k mark!

Now we come to my projects I'm currently working on and I will work on in the next two weeks:

:bulletblue: Caught [digital art] : :bulletred: (10%)
This is probably my biggest project I want to realize with my graphic tablet.
Currently I got the rough composition of the painting and I did a sketch, but the proportions of the girl
(yes, a girl is in the painting :D) aren't correct yet.
So I have to work out following:

- right proportions
- corrections on perspective
- working out the girl (line art, expressions, etc.)
- working out the details (clothing, etc.)
- working out background
- colour!

As you can see, it is a lot of work I have to do.

:bulletblue: Halloween Painting [acrylic] : :bulletred: (0%)

Yeah, in about one week it's Halloween and this year I want to paint something for this. Actually I don't know
what yet, but I think it will be a "classical" Halloween painting.

:bulletblue: sumi-e Painting [sumi-e] : :bulletred: (0%)

For months I got this sumi-e set here and I didn't make a good painting with it.
I have to change that! :D Probably I'll paint a bamboo or something like that because it should be easy...

:bulletblue: African Elephant [acrylic] : :bulletred: (0%)

This was standing on my last list. I didn't find enough time to paint this, but I think in these two weeks I should have
enough time. :)

Techniques and stuff I'm permanently working on:

:bulletyellow: Anatomy of Humans

:bulletyellow: Perspective

:bulletyellow: Digital painting techniques & hand coordination

I will informate you as soon there are any updates!

Regards

Hey there!
こんにちは .

:bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue: First contact with art :bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue:
I'm an 18 year-old student from Germany and I love art for years!
It began when I was like 12-13 years old. I was intensely influenced by the "good old anime series" like Dragon Ball (Z), Digimon, Pokemon and One Piece.
This caused that I wanted to try to draw these awesome figures. So this was my first time I dealt with art and the period reached like 3 years with more or less long breaks. In this time I also bought the Faco Comic Pack by Wacom.

:bulletred::bulletred::bulletred: Fortuity or Fate? :bulletred::bulletred::bulletred:
Then, how the fate wanted it, I saw an offer on eBay with an easel, a brush-set, some acrylic or oil colours as well as a palette and some canvases. I thought maybe I could also paint Manga with this, so I ordered it with acrylic colours because they seemed to have some advantages and more suitable for beginners (of course the quality wasn't very good, but in fact I didn't know about it and it gave the impact to keep traditional painting with acrylic colours).
My first painting was like...painted by a child. I was disappointed because it was very difficult to paint realistic paintings.
But I kept learning with videos, internet and books and I improved more and more and I got to different subjects like landscapes, still lifes, animals, portraits, abstract art, action painting, etc.

:bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen: Rising action :bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen:
Since this point I got more and more interested in art. I bought pastel colours, loved the art class in school, visited museums, bought more and more books, read very much on the internet about art in practice and in theory and I loved to look at the traditional paintings by the old masters.

So, this is me. I even classify myself into the beginner section because I still have to learn a lot!
My goal is to find my own style and to draw and paint what I want to.

Completing this text, a short quote by Picasso:

"Um zu wissen, was man zeichnen will, muss man zu zeichnen anfangen." (Picasso)

Like that in english:
"In order to know what to draw, you have to begin drawing." (Picasso)

Regards
Ibotsu
